Chicken Korma recipe by Huma.
Korma, a classic Non-vegetarian Dish is cooked in yougurt gravy. The flavor of this dish is further enhanced by using Mint and Cilantro and squeezing a dash of lime just before serving. Korma is a great accompaniment with Steamed Rice or naan.

Ingredients
1 chickenClick to find more about chicken, cut in small pieces
2 med. onions, sliced
1 1/2 cup yogurt
2 tspn. gingerClick to find more about ginger and garlicClick to find more about garlic paste each.
2 tsp.full coriander powder (dhaniya powder)
1 tsp. chili powder
saltClick to find more about salt to taste (about 12 tspn)
23 long and ilaichi


Preparation
In pot, heat oil and fry onions until golden brown. Then take out onto paper towel. In remaining oil put in long and ilaichi.
Add chickenClick to find more about chicken and stir. Add gingerClick to find more about ginger and garlicClick to find more about garlic paste. Mix well.
In blender put fried onions with yogurt and little water and make paste.
In chickenClick to find more about chicken, now add coriander powder, chili powder, saltClick to find more about salt and fry until oil seperates.
Then add yogurt/onionClick to find more about onion mixture.
Add little water depending on how much gravy you want.
Cook on medium heat for 30 min.
Serve hot with naan.

Plannin to try this for lunch..InshaAllah it should come out well but concerned about the proportion for long n illachi is it going to be 11 each. would that be not too much. please advice who have tried..thanks

Is the 'saalan' suppose to appear white??... tastes like my mom's chicken but looks NOTHING like chicken korma... BTW this was my first time making chicken korma so i'm sure there was a problem with the proportions... perhaps too much yogurt??? or didn't fry the onions enough....hmmm i'd appreciate some tips:)

i tried it today and its tasty. but i added someextra chili powder and dry coriander then in the original recipe. i also added some garam masala and sliced almonds. everybody enjoyed. thx

Aida you need to use a little bit of common sense. How can you feed 1 chicken to 46 ppl? You really have to have IQ level of -ve ** to think this way.

i hope in future all recipes should be clearly written in english only . there are many other people from different races and background interested to try paki recipes but find it hard to comprehend .
