Cheese Bread recipe by Zeba.
This savory quick bread delivers a bounty of Cheddar. It 'll make a perfect accompaniment to almost any meal.
1 egg well beaten
1 cup milk
1 TBLSPN melted butter
2 cups flour
4 t baking powder
1 TBLSPN sugar
1/2 t onion salt
1/4 t garlic powder
1/2 t oregano
1/4 t dry mustard
1 1/4 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
1TBLSPN chopped dill or parsley optional
Combine egg, milk, and butter.
In a mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.
Make a wellin dry ingredients and add milk mixture.
Stir until well blended.
Spread into agreased 5 x 9" loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
