Aalo Baday recipe by AmbUs.
An easy and unique snack for your family specially in Ramadan. It goes well with Tomato Ketchup.


Ingredients
Balls:
500 g potatoes
1/2 tsp turmericClick to find more about turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp dried pomegranateClick to find more about pomegranate seeds(optional)
1 tsp cumin seedsClick to find more about cumin seeds
2 green chillies,finely chopped
saltClick to find more about salt to taste
1/4 cup fresh coriander,chopped
Batter:
1/2 cup gramflour
saltClick to find more about salt to taste
pinch of baking soda
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp oil
water


Preparation
For the batter,mix batter ingredients and enough water for a thin consistency batter.
Boil and skin potatoes. Mash well.
Mix balls ingredients in a bowl.
Shape into small balls about 1 inch in diameter.
Dip in the batter and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
Serve immediately with ketchup/tamarindClick to find more about tamarind chutney.
